- Keyword used in your link text: - When you make a link exchange with you relevant site. Your link text should contain best keywords. Make sure you use your keyword or search terms from the page you are linking to, in your anchor text on the site map. Anchor Links is one of the most important tags that your site needs to increase search engine PR especially in Google.
- Use best keywords in title tag. Include ONLY our main keywords. The least amount of words you can place in the title, the more weight Google will give to each of the keywords and the higher you will rank. All the search engines use different recommendation for title tag. We have to optimize for all the major search engines. I recommended maximum 60 characters including space between characters in the title tag. All thought directories uses different title criteria I have done thousands of directory submission and found there standard. Maximum directories uses 75 characters in title, some directories takes 50 characters. So to overtake the 50 characters problem prepare another alternate title tag for directory submission with primary keyword phrases. Side by side Your Titles should be reasonable to the reader search phrases otherwise even a top position will lose a lot of clicks.
- You have to be practical with keywords phrases (KP), before adopting the keyword on your site you should analysis KP. Suppose you want to optimize with Texas Mortgages keyword, make search in Google if top 6 or 7 site listing contain 6 or higher PR, it will not be a good shoot for that keyword phrase until we get some good initial traffic with less competitive keyword phrases.
- Keyword phrase Point out keywords with H1, H2 in the body tag. Insert the KP in a tag at the beginning of your page. Keyword synonyms should be put in your h2 & h3 tags. The h1, h2, h3 tags are used for titles and subtitles in articles
- Make sure that your web page contains at least 200 words of relevant content with rich KP (this doesn’t means that you do keyword stuffing) and if your site is updated once a month it would be the best. The more the better. Just remember your content will need to be both quantity and quality.
